Reviews
A wonderful, traditional Viennese eatery in the 19th district. Reachable via the D tram one station before the terminus in Nussdorf.
The cordon bleu was absolutely fantastic as was the pumpkin cream soup. The pumpkin strudel was so so, mostly affected by the very watery salad dressing on the same plate. The waitress promised to to relay this concern to the kitchen.
Also known for their seasonal goose! This starts in mid October and should not be missed.
We had a very nice and cozy dinner . We enjoyed our time there, and the food as well. The snitzel was very good. The location was a bit far for us. But it was worth it.
We came to Gasthof Zum Renner multiple times during our trip to Wien - the food and the beer are wonderful! The cordon bleu and the potato salad were our favorite. Plus the servers were very kind, and the beer garden is extremely gorgeous.
This place will forever be special to us because we got engaged here. Thank you for such a great experience!
This was a special place with Viennese traditional food. Old and vibey, good wine, and a cuisine to walk miles for. We will definitely be back for more.
If you are looking for the perfect viennese cuisine you found it.
During Summer Renner has also an extremly beautiful "Gastgarten"
Super service, delicious meals and big portions, in a traditional environment.
We stayed inside but I am pretty sure (when is good weather) their garden is excelent.
i had the baked scones ("Gebackene Blunzenradln"), the house soup, and the cream spinach. the scones were incredibly good, the soup was good, the spinach was also good. i didn't go for a proper main, but i left full and satisfied.
edit : they have a special lunch dish every day, did not get it, but it is very cheap
So delicious food, beef in its traditional form, very tasty, comes along with very good side dishes. You need a reservation. Not that well known among tourists. Prices are fair..After this opulent main dish a "Malatow" cake und you can't believe to eat anything again the next day.....
